SYNOPSIS

1: 
1 main character [girl]. Starts off with her getting ready, we see an in site to her life, what she likes, how she acts. We then see her later with a group of friends, she doesn’t particularly get along with them, she is the outsider of the group. One close friend [any gender]. They have a conversation about going somewhere else, [friend] thinks its wrong to want to leave [girl] thinks its right {conflict between them}. Reason why she wants to go is because she doesn’t fit it; disagrees with what everyone thinks, wants to explore the world more, not be held back with a set lifestyle. Set in a small town, main places we see is her room, and a park. Somewhere simple that everyone can recognize. [girl] doesn’t end up running away/leaving. She’s in every shot and wants to leave because she doesn’t relate to everyone she is around, no-one understands her and she feels like she doesn’t have a purpose of being there, she wants to do bigger things in the world but can’t because of set lifestyles, money and rules of society. No other places other than the town will be featured. We see her group of friends having a conversation, that she’s hardly involved in, however, we hear their voices and see them but we do not learn who the characters are, having a conversation about how they want to be when they grow up (all in the set lifestyle), completely different to how [girl] wants her life to be. {conflict between opinions}. [girl] keeps some sort of diary so the audience can see how she's really  feeling inside, so the audience know what she can't say to anyone because no-one really agrees with her.

2:

Main character - Robin. Symbolic. Birds - fly/freedom 

Second character - Alex. Common and a unisex name. Anyone can play Alex. 

It was a summers afternoon and 5 friends were sitting in a park casually having a laugh and a good time. Friend [1] brought up that there was a party that evening and because it was a summers holiday they should all go. In the end they all agreed, some more reluctant than others. 

A couple of hours later, we see our main character, Robin, getting ready. It starts off that she is writing in a diary about how she hates going out and wishes she isn’t where she is. Her phone then lights up with a message saying that her friend was outside. Robin had to rush to get ready, this included: adding another layer of concealer to one (maybe more) of her cuts, shoving pills in her bag, grabbing a jacket and running out of the door. 

After a big rush, Robin and her friend, Alex, was in the car. Alex gave Robin a reassuring smile and says that s(he) isn’t going to let her/his friend be on her own tonight and will always be by her side. 

As expected, it was the party and Robin was on her own, sitting on the stairs, looking at everyone socializing, while they were ignoring the fact that Robin was on her own, bored. She looked so fed up and let down by her friend. She checked her bag to make sure the pills were still there. Just as Robin poured her drink she opened her pills but got pushed by her friend, Alex, running past her, in tears because she has just been arguing with a boy. She looks at the pills on the table and then rushes to follow her friend. 

After a very eventful time she found her friend in the bathroom still crying. Her friend starts to explain what happened with the boy, and that she wishes she wasn’t there because she doesn’t fit in. Something then clicked in Robin, to say enough is enough and they need to stop thinking like that. She helps her friend get up and ready and then they both leave the toxic party. 

3:

Robin (17, wearing jeans and a plain top). On a new diary page, she writes that hates going out and wishes she isn’t where she is. Her phone then lights up with a message saying “I’m outside”. Robin grabbed a jacket, added makeup to her cuts and runs out of the door.  

Robin opens the car door and gets into the passenger seat. Alex, in the driver’s seat (wearing- jeans and a plain short sleeve top). Alex gave Robin a reassuring smile and says that s(he) isn’t going to let her/his friend be on her own tonight and will always be by her side.

A roaring house party. Robin is on her own, sitting on the stairs, looking at everyone socialising. She looks fed up. She checked her bag to make sure the pills were still there. Robin get up from the stairs to go to the table. Just as Robin pours her drink she opened her pills but gets pushed by her friend, Alex, running past her, in tears because she has just been arguing with a boy. She looks at the pills on the table and then rushes to follow her friend. 

In the bathroom still crying. Her friend starts to explain what happened with the boy, and that she wishes she wasn’t there because she doesn’t fit in. Something then clicked in Robin, to say enough is enough and they need to stop thinking like that. She helps her friend get up and ready and then they both leave the toxic party.

Robin slowly gets up from the stairs and goes to the table. Just as Robin finishes pouring a drink she gets pushed by her friend. They look at each other for a second before Alex breaks down in tears and runs off. Robin looks back at the table to see all her pills are there. Everyone at the party is looking at them. Robin makes her way back to the stairs and goes to find Alex. Upstairs Robin calls for Alex but she doesn’t respond. She starts to make her way into one of the rooms but then she hears a cry from the bathroom, so she makes her way to the bathroom.

In the bathroom. Alex is on the floor with a pot of pills. Robin rushes to get the pills away from Alex. Robin takes the pills with force because Alex doesn’t want to let go of them. Robin quickly gets Alex a glass of water and gets her near the toilet to be sick. She helps Alex get all of the drugs out of her system. Her eye then catches herself in a mirror, she pauses and looks at herself with sadness in her eyes.

The pill bottle rolls across the floor. Everyone at the party is looking at them. Alex slowly makes her way towards the bottle and picks it up, whilst putting some in her pocket without anyone noticing. Alex walks back to where Robin is standing and passes her the bottle, Robin is frozen in shock, but jumps out of it when Alex puts her hand on her shoulder, she turns her head to look at her and then everyone else. Alex whispers in her ear “everyone knew”, and then walks upstairs.

Robin still in disbelief, shoves the pills back in her bag and walks past everyone with her head down to go back to the stairs. Robin then goes upstairs, she goes to go in one room and then hears a big bash from another. She walks in the room and sees her friend lying on the floor, with her pills in her hand.

In the bathroom, Robin rushes to check if her friend is okay, putting her hand on her neck, but see’s she has passed out. She looks around in a panic not knowing what to do, then her eye catches a mirror she pauses and looks at herself with sadness in her eyes.

6:

A summer’s afternoon. Four people sit on a patch of grass in a field. Laughing and talking to each other. Friend #1 tells the group that there is a party that evening and they should all attend. They all agree. One of the friends, Alex (17, wearing leggings and a jumper), takes out her phone and walks away from the group and calls someone.

On the phone. Alex asks, “Where are you? You were supposed to come out today!” Sitting on a sofa, Robin (17, wearing pj’s), is on the phone and says “sorry! I had to go out with my mum”. Back to Alex, she says “okay, whatever, when you back”. Robin then replies, “Soon, I’m on my way back now”. Alex then answers “great! There’s a party tonight, I’ll pick you up at 7, don’t let me down” she then hangs up the phone. In Robin’s room, sighing and her head fall onto the sofa.

Robin sits at a desk in her room. Applies her make-up. Her phone then lights up with a message saying, “I’m outside”. In a rush, Robin grabs a jacket, adds concealer to a cut on her arm and runs out the door.

Alex walks back to where Robin is standing and passes her the bottle. Robin is frozen in shock, but jumps out of it when Alex puts her hand on her shoulder; she turns her head to look at her, then everyone else. Alex whispers in her ear “everyone knew”, and then walks away.

Robin still in disbelief shoves the pills back in her bag and walks past everyone with her head down. She gets to the garden outside and sits on a bench, putting her head in her hands. She lifts her head up, tears in her eyes, looks into the house and sees two friends laughing. Robin gets angry and storms back into the house to confront Alex.

Robin goes up the stairs. Robin walks around upstairs trying to find Alex. Going into rooms and then hears a bash from another. She walks into a room and freezes, seeing her friend on the bathroom floor, in a pool of sick with the pills in her hand.

In the bathroom, Robin rushes to check if her friend is okay, shaking her and screaming her name. Robin crouching on the floor places her hand on Alex’s neck with tears in her eyes. Robin still screaming for Alex, shaking her she looks around in panic, her eye catches herself in a mirror, she looks at herself and then breaks down in tears.

7:

They all agree too. One of the friends, Alex (17, wearing leggings and a jumper), takes out her phone and walks away from the group and calls someone.

On the phone, Alex talks to someone about why she wasn’t out today and that they should go to a party that evening. Robin (17, wearing pyjamas) in her room, on the phone says that she was with her mum and she agrees to go to the party later. She then hangs up the phone and sighs falling into the sofa.

Robin sits at a desk in her room. She applies make-up. Her phone lights up with a message saying “I’m outside”. In a rush, Robin grabs a jacket, adds concealer to a cut on her arm and then runs out the door.

With no reply but seen Robin sends another message saying: “you really going to ignore me, after dragging me all this way! You embarrassed me so much, didn’t stick up for me, you just joined in! like everyone else!”. She looks out across the garden. Anger then overtakes Robin, she gets up and storms back into the house, asking people where Alex is and looking through group of friends. 

Robin goes up the stairs. Walking around upstairs going into rooms and hears a bash from another. She walks into a room and freezes, seeing her friend on the bathroom floor, in a pool of sick with pills in one hand, and her phone on the message in another.

In the bathroom, Robin rushes to her friend, screaming her name and shaking her. Robin in a panic lifts Alex up with a struggle and gets her into the bath, turning on the cold tap. Robin, crying and shaking grabs her phone and calls someone. Asking for an ambulance, saying that she doesn’t know where the pills came from but she’s overdosed, telling them to hurry up. She then throws her phone and sits with Alex in the bath trying to get her friend back. When her eye catches a mirror she cries even more, staring at herself blankly, with the sirens in the background.
