Main uses of the television is to show moving images to an audience.

The main uses for an audio recorder is to record a sound so you can play it back and listen to it on one device.

 - When the first audio recorder was invented you could record sound but not play it back.
 - The first disc records were invented by Emilie Berliner. The disc records were made of vulcanized rubber.
 - The first iPod MP3 player, the iPod classic was released by Apple Computer in 2001.

Main uses of digital publishing is so that you can access something thats meant to be paper on a device for when you are on the go or just at home.
